Terms & Conditions — Rungwela Watch Repair

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

"Rungwela", "we", "us" refers to Rungwela watch repair workshop, 88 Thanon Thalang, Talat Yai, Mueang, Phuket 83000, Thailand.
"You", "Customer" refers to the individual using our website or services.
"Service" refers to any watch repair, restoration, or assessment work carried out by Rungwela.
"Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions as accepted by you.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a contact form on this website, dropping a watch at our premises, or engaging us for any Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. You must be at least 18 years of age and have legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are acting on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity.

3. Services

Rungwela provides the following watch repair services:

Mechanical movement service (cleaning, lubrication, and regulation of automatic and manual watches)
Case and bracelet restoration (light refinishing and cleaning)
Water resistance assessment (seal inspection, gasket renewal, and pressure testing)

Services are available to customers in person at our Phuket workshop. We do not currently accept postal submissions. Availability of specific services depends on the condition and type of the watch; we reserve the right to decline work that is beyond our scope or unsuitable for our equipment.

4. Service Process and Agreement

All watches are inspected on arrival and photographed.
A written estimate is provided before any work begins.
Work only proceeds once the estimate is accepted by the customer.
If additional work is identified during service, we will contact you before proceeding.
No additional charges are applied without prior agreement.

5. Pricing and Payment

Service prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and are as follows at the time of publication:

Mechanical Movement Service: ฿5,500
Case & Bracelet Restoration: ฿3,800
Water Resistance Assessment: ฿2,000

Parts required during service (gaskets, springs, etc.) are charged at cost, quoted and agreed in advance. Payment is due on collection. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and bank transfer. Prices are subject to change; the price applicable to your service is the one stated in your written estimate.

6. Turnaround and Collection

Estimated turnaround times are provided at the point of estimate and are not binding guarantees. Standard turnaround is seven to fourteen working days. We will contact you when your watch is ready for collection. Watches not collected within sixty days of notification may be subject to a storage fee. After six months, uncollected watches may be disposed of in accordance with Thai law.

7. Liability

Rungwela exercises reasonable care with all watches entrusted to us. In the event of damage or loss arising from our negligence, our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the affected component, up to the agreed service cost for that job. We are not liable for:

Pre-existing undisclosed faults not identifiable at initial inspection
Damage resulting from normal wear and tear revealed during service
Indirect or consequential losses
Loss of sentimental value

We strongly recommend that customers obtain their own insurance for high-value pieces.

8. Results and Outcomes

We do not guarantee specific outcomes beyond what is achievable within the scope of the agreed service. A mechanical service aims to restore a movement to reasonable running order; we cannot restore movements with severely worn or unavailable parts to original specification. Timing accuracy post-service depends on the condition and age of the calibre. Water resistance testing is conducted at the time of service and does not constitute a permanent certification.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — text, images, layout, and design — is the property of Rungwela and may not be reproduced without written permission. We do not claim ownership of any third-party trademarks or brand names referenced on this site.

10. Disclaimers

Our website and services are provided in good faith. We do not make representations about the suitability of services for any specific purpose beyond what is described. Information on this website is for general guidance only and does not constitute professional watchmaking advice applicable to every situation.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate a service agreement before work begins by giving notice. If work has already started, costs incurred up to the point of termination are payable by the customer. We reserve the right to decline or stop work at any stage if we determine it is beyond our capability or if the customer breaches these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

We encourage customers to contact us directly with any concern in the first instance — most issues can be resolved quickly by discussion. These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Phuket Province, Thailand.

13. General

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any written estimate or service agreement, constitute the full agreement between you and Rungwela for the relevant service.
Severability: If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections remain in effect.
Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under this agreement to a third party without our consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
